“Journey’s Price”

“Every door closed ends in another being open,
but not before first leaving you broken.
Now, you wonder whether you were chosen,
or whether the wrong soul was simply stolen.

There you stand wondering if it was worth it,
There you stand wishing to make it worth it,
Watching others walk on strong going unto the light,
All you do is sit there, think, wonder and fight:
the urge to leave, the urge to move:
from something you could never remove,
the only one who could for you: approve.

There’s a journey we all make from life to death,
from start to finish, in every breath:
what I’ve seen is to hold everything you’ve got,
that makes you feel the slightest sought,
which in the ends, makes you feel more alive,
and makes you think how you could still survive.

Nothing ever replaces a void or an end,
not until to heaven we all transcend,
until then, until then, until right then,
fight every closing door, my friends,
fight every closing end, this my life portends.”
